LEARN MORE ABOUT OUR STAFF
Eating Disorders are complex conditions with very strong psychological and well as biological components. The nature of these conditions is such that those afflicted are at risk of significant emotional and physical injury. Successful treatment exists and the prognosis can be greatly improved in most situations. Our staff of highly trained providers are equipped to help you and your family overcome these disorders, to greatly improve quality of life and level of happiness. Our experienced, multi-disciplinary team individualizes each treatment plan to address client’s specific needs on a physical, mental, and spiritual level.
Treatment begins with a comprehensive medical, nutritional and psychiatric assessment to best assess the needs of each individual client. Thereafter, patients are assigned to one of our three eating disorder tracks, based upon their clinical needs: traditional outpatient therapy, intensive outpatient therapy (IOP) or our comprehensive eating disorder treatment (CED) program.
The level of care each patient receives is second to none, and includes, but is not limited to, twice weekly individual psychotherapy along with a multitude of traditional and experiential therapy groups (movement therapy, art therapy, psychodrama, acupuncture and meditation). Moreover, we pride ourselves on providing evidenced based treatment to our clients. Patients have the opportunity to participate in our Dialectical Behavior Therapy Program (DBT) that blends Eastern philosophies with traditional western psychotherapy. Moreover, many patients enter the program with an extensive history of trauma. As such, many of our therapists are trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), in order to facilitate quick and effective trauma resolution.
The nutrition therapy component of our program is headed by a registered and licensed dietitian who is highly experienced in eating disorder treatment. We adopt a Non-diet approach and teach our patients to develop a healthy relationship with food. Patients not only receive weekly nutritional therapy, where our dietitian develops a personalized nutritional plan, but also participate in on site meal support, where they learn to develop healthy eating behaviors in a supportive environment.
Finally, we hold fast to the notion that mindful activity is imperative in order to achieve a sense of wellness in eating disorder treatment. After the client has received medical clearance, they begin their work with an on-site trainer, who assists them in reconnecting with their body and developing a healthy relationship with exercise in a safe and supportive environment.

Over the course of your treatment, the Delray Center’s outpatient program options can cost thousands less than inpatient options.
Because 24-hour care is often not required for extended periods, patients preferably elect treatment to minimize the time away from work and loved ones. Unlike conventional inpatient treatment facilities where you may spend substantial time away from home.
Our broad range of treatment options and individualized treatment plans allow each client to only pay for the level of services necessary to treat their particular condition. Regardless of the disorder or combination of disorders, we will create a treatment plan that fits your needs and budget.
